Scopio is pleased to announce the upcoming project with HarperOne, a publishing imprint of HarperCollins Publishers
Submit your work for the chance to become a published author, and have your work featured in major bookstores, including:
Select any topic that matters to you, such as politics, education, or healthcare, and create an artwork that shows a world where women run it.
Your submission should present an artistic interpretation of the female gaze, defining 'woman' and 'femininity' through the lens of what women achieve and embody in positions of power.
It can be an illustration, graphic art, photography, 3D art, digital sculpting, digital contemporary art, or any other form of visual art. It just needs to be in printable format.
We do not accept artworks generated by AI. All creations must be "hand-made" - in other words - composed by a human being.
Christina and I have spent nearly two years bringing “If Women” to you, including securing a major publisher.
I’m Dominique, project facilitator. My experiences in the luxury industry revealed that true value lies in people and their ideas.
We welcome all artworks depicting a world where women have all the power, everything from humor and satire to bold, inspiring pieces.
This is an independent project with commercial reach, which puts us in a unique position to publish freely, and still make a global impact. We only ask for your best work.
We’ll select 88 submissions based on storytelling, impact, and artistic quality, with each piece reviewed by three separate panels.
We hope your vision of society under female leadership inspires you, wherever you are.
Good luck,
Dominique Mahoney

Christina Hawatmeh

We cannot accept submissions not made through the app for legal reasons. All your other questions about artwork requirements, such as image type, file size and more, are also addressed through the Scopio App, so that you don't have to waste your time with back and forth!
A: Nope. We welcome submissions from everyone, regardless of gender, age, background, or experience. Our goal is to celebrate diverse voices and perspectives from all walks of life—whether you're young or old, experienced or emerging - whatever your perspective is (as wild, cynical, sardonic, fantastical, humorous etc). If you have a story to tell on this topic, we’d love to see it.
A: Your story and image will be featured across all major retailers, next to other top talent published by a top-tier publisher. You’ll also gain exclusive opportunities to collaborate with organizations aligned with your vision. This project is designed to leave a meaningful legacy and provoke thought, adding valuable perspectives to the global narrative.
A: You will get paid $250 for accepted images, and have an opportunity for future partnerships and the perks of being a part of this book and its initiatives with HarperCollins Publishers and partners.
A: Yes, but only as long as you are the rightful copyright owner and have the right to distribute the work. Most importantly, your piece must meaningfully contribute to “If Women.”
A: For The Year Time Stopped Book we received over 10,000 submissions from artists around the world. For If Women only 88 submissions will be selected, chosen based on the strength of their storytelling, the impact of their deeply thoughtful narrative, and the quality of their artwork. Each submission is carefully evaluated by three separate review panels to ensure only the most compelling pieces make it through.
